Mailplane – a mail client, created especially for fans of GMail. We can say that Mailplane occupies an intermediate position between the work of web-based and offline client. In essence you are still working with GMail through its interface. All that makes Mailplane, so it adds a bit of “desktop”:

• Support for multiple accounts. You can quickly switch between multiple GMail accounts and Google Apps


• You can customize the interface. As with almost any program, you can drag a button to the toolbar by customizing to fit your tastes.


• Easy to send attachments. You can add an attachment by dragging the file with the mouse, which does not allow any one browser.


• With Mailplane easier to send photos, as there is built in support for iPhoto.


• Processing mailto – no matter what program you click on the email-link, to create an open letter Mailplane. As far as I know, this is a unique feature – in the case of the browser window GMail otkroetsyapo clicking on the email-links placed only on a web page.


• The system of notifications about new messages. Pop-ups, the number of unread messages is displayed in the Dock and menyubare.


• Support shortcuts, which is not in Mail.app


• Support for hot keys. But in GMail also has a set of hotkeys.

What’s New

3.6.0 Version: New

• Google Inbox – You can now open Google Inbox within its own tab. Mailplane provides similar keyboard shortcuts as for Gmail and functionalities like mailto :, Share Extensions, AppleScript etc.work as well. Unfortunately attachments still cause a freeze.


• Return to regular zoom level – ‘View> Actual Size’ returns to the regular zoom level. It was a small but highly requested feature.

• Updated to Streak 6.21


• Delete pending download history items when quitting Mailplane


• Remembers the UI state on quit


• Fixed further bugs and visual glitches in OS X El Capitan


• Removed AwayFind Plug-In from our list. They shut the product down.
