UninstallPKG 1.0.16 – remove unwanted packages from your system

UninstallPKG is an application that allows you to completely remove so called “packages” (file-extension .pkg) and all their installed contents from your Mac. UninstallPKG can be used to reclaim precious disk-space by removing unwanted functionality like unused printer drivers or completely remove applications you no longer use. UninstallPKG can also keep your Mac clean by removing left-over files from applications that you have already partially removed manually. Emulsion 1.3.0 – Photo library catalog.

Emulsion is a new photo catalog app. Emulsion can adjust exposure, colors, and almost everything else. You can also add gradients to your images to darken skies, or even add dust and scratches for a cool retro look. Emulsion can apply adjustments, effects, and metadata changes to one or hundreds of images at once. Want to convert 30 images to B&W? No problem. Need to change the ‘Camera Model’ EXIF for that folder of images? Easy!

Aside from its pleasing user interface and helpful set of photo management and editing tools, I’m thrilled that I can use my existing Aperture plugins with Emulsion. I depend on Color Efex Pro and DxO Film Pack for my work, and they perform seamlessly with this software.

That being said, if you’re not a fan of Photos for OS X or Lightroom, and you want a nice home to manage and edit your images, Emulsion is worth a look. I have a good feeling that this application is going to evolve into a niche that resides above Photos for OS X and below Lightroom and Capture One Pro.
